Go on, get it off your chest...

The IT director's lot is clearly not a happy one. Yesterday, we published regular silicon.com columnist David Taylor's latest piece. He focused on his pet hates - the things he'd like to see consigned to the Room 101 of IT departments.
He wants to burn all the training manuals lying - unread - around most offices. Three letter acronyms and service level agreements also get the nod. And the less said about reserved car parking spaces for 'Executives' the better.
Inevitably, our readers have responded with some more, highly deserving candidates to join David's collection in Room 101.
One suggests that user groups/conventions/exhibitions should go in. "Everyone knows they are just an excuse for a trip abroad with free booze. Do the noble thing and go on holiday with your family instead," he wrote.
Hear! Hear! The same reader suggests that all IT staff spend a minimum of one week a year working in the business. "I once met an IT director of a major retailer who was also on their bacon-buying team," he wrote. "Cool!"
That's not really something you can put into Room 101 but you can see his point.
The next group of people, on the other hand, certainly deserve to be incarcerated (even if the reader who suggested this seems to have a bit too much time on his hands)...
"Dumb, socially inept techies. They watch: Doctor WHO and Star Trek (not the original series) and they can't talk to girls. In addition, they're not even any good at the job. No commonsense, none. Appalling music taste and no dress sense. No sense of humour. No nothing. You WOULDN'T want them baby-sitting your kids. Spots. Whispy moustaches. Masses of either stupidly curly hair or dead straight and greasy looking. BIG glasses. Brown shoes. Probably got an Acorn Electron somewhere in the Attic. "Just talk man... anything... no, not about the internet if you talk about the internet I'll force you to confess about logging on to chat rooms under the name of SUSAN... football's a good one... no, not American football... you didn't go snowboarding last year you've just made that up to look cool haven't you?... no, you didn't go surfing either, you stopped at home with your Mum and you stayed indoors alllllll summer with a grey v-neck jumper and a brown shirt on didn't you?... who is your favourite babe in the whole wide world?... Judy Garland? Wrong answer... you're fired!"
We've had many more suggestions and we want to hear more from you - just post a Reader Comment below or email editorial@silicon.com .
